RIVA DEL GARDA BEACHES

SABBIONI BEACH
Pebble and with grass areas, the Sabbioni beach is one of the largest and best equipped beaches on Lake Garda Trentino. It is very shaded thanks to the presence of the park adjacent to the beach.

BEACH OF THE PINI
The splendid Pini beach, also known as Purfina, has pebbles, gravel and grass and a large green area. Also frequented by surfers, the Pini beach has an area dedicated to lovers of this sport, in front of the Bavaria campsite.

MIRALAGO BEACH
The green setting that surrounds it makes Miralago beach a pleasant place, ideal for sunbathing, reading a book and resting by the lake. After a few hours of sunshine, nothing is more rewarding than a nice dip in the cool waters of the lake!

LAKE OF TENNO and the Canale di Tenno
A turquoise diamond set in the green of the woods: Lake Tenno is a pleasure for the eyes and an opportunity to explore the surroundings, including villages and gastronomy The medieval village of Canale di Tenno is undoubtedly a must for those who want to immerse themselves in the magic of a place of other times, where history, art and culture can be breathed.

LAKE OF LEDRO AND THE PALAFITE
An enchanted natural landscape frames the clear waters of the lake: an oasis for sports and relaxation, but also a precious opportunity to discover how our ancestors lived in the Neolithic era.

PANORAMIC ELEVATOR
A brand new inclined panoramic lift that connects the historic center of Riva del Garda with the Venetian Bastion in just two minutes (starting from Via Monte Oro). The lift, which is all glass to give the best in terms of view, takes up the idea of the chairlift built in the 1950s and dismantled at the beginning of the 1980s, with respect to which the route was moved north, on the top of slope on the slopes of the Rocchetta, directly under the Bastione.

THE APPONAL TOWER
The Apponale tower rises 34 meters on the east side of Piazza III Novembre; built in the 13th century with stone ashlars of different sizes to guard the port and the square, an ancient center of trade and fairs, it was raised in 1555. In the 1920s, the tower underwent structural changes that led to the replacement of the ancient onion-shaped roof of the tower, of Nordic inspiration reminiscent of the roofs of the bell towers of northern Europe, with the current one. With 2002, after a complete restoration, it is possible to retrace the 165 steps leading to the top from March to October, from which the geometries of the square that delimits the pier, the city of Riva and the blue waters of Garda dominate.

THE MUSEUM OF RIVA DEL GARDA
The Archaeological Section of the Museum is one of the largest collections in the provincial area and illustrates the archaeological contexts and the most significant finds brought to light in the Alto Garda area, an area particularly rich in evidence of the past. From the oldest flint artifacts of Monte Baldo referable to Neanderthal Man to the pile-dwelling settlements of Ledro and Fiavé, passing through the extraordinary statues-steles of the Copper Age of Arco, the exhibition itinerary reserves to the visitor points of great interest. Of particular importance are the important discoveries of the Roman age among which the place of worship of Monte San Martino and the findings made in the historic center of Riva del Garda with the exceptional thermal complex of Via Pilati stand out.

POWER PLANT
Where architecture and engineering welcome water and release energy. A monumental power plant, built by the lake in the 1920s on a project by the architect of D'Annunzio, Giancarlo Maroni, former architect of the Vittoriale degli Italiani. An unexpected and engaging visiting experience, with original multimedia installations; a place to visit, but also to "play". A unique opportunity for everyone, adults and children, to discover how water is transformed into clean energy. The hydroelectric power plant of Riva del Garda, majestic and imposing, overlooking the lake is a jewel of architecture and engineering and awaits you to reveal all its wonders.

FRAGLIA VELA
La Fraglia della Vela has a private marina, with storage for 60 boats, a terrace overlooking the lake and secretarial service, bar and restaurant. Its position, north of Lake Garda, and the presence of often sustained winds (from north and south), makes it a reference all over the world for its enviable regatta course which is appreciated by the best sailors. Regattas of national and international significance are organized at the highest levels, with particular attention to young people. During the summer, sailing courses are held for children (from school age) and for adults with qualified federal instructors, with the possibility of introducing the best students to competitive activity (the youth competitive teams of Fraglia Vela Riva are among the most titled in Italy).

THE FORTS OF MONTE BRIONE
Located in the center of the Alto Garda plain, close to the northern shore of Lake Garda, Mount Brione (368 meters) has always been an object of interest by the Austro-Hungarian military engineers. The visit to the war works of this small but strategic hill starts from Porto San Nicolò and its homonymous fort. The limestone work was mainly used as a "cut" of the Riva-Torbole coastal road: at the end of the road there was in fact an iron door equipped with a rifle and a machine gun position facing Torbole.
